Smart, Multi-Stage Battery Charger

Truecharge 40+ is a 40 amp, continuous-duty charger ideal for deep cycle batteries when recharging from a source between 90-135 VAC. Truecharge 40+ incorporates advanced microprocessor-controlled switching technology, which results in a light, compact design that is easy to install. Using a three-stage sequence, Truecharge 40+ delivers an accurate charge every time - even when the incoming voltage is from a poorly regulated AC source. By monitoring charging voltage, current, and time, Truecharge 40+ can make a smart decision about when to stop charging. Truecharge 40+ can be configured for a range of temperature settings and battery types. Safe and effective charging can be done by using the switch on the charger or by pressing the switch on the optional battery temperature sensor.

Truecharge 40+ will automatically check the condition of your batteries every 21 days and top them up when necessary. Three isolated outputs allow charging of three separate battery banks simultaneously. Built to last, Truecharge 40+ battery chargers are housed in a rugged aluminum chassis and use conformal-coated circuit boards.

Charges Three Banks Simultaneously

Truecharge 40+ features three isolated outputs for simultaneous charging of up to three separate battery banks. Truecharge 40+ is also able to recharge completely discharged batteries (when voltage approaches 0 VDC).

Microprocessor-Controlled

The battery charger's accurate delivery of the microprocessor-controlled three-stage charge reduces the risk of overcharged or boiled batteries.

Automatic safe shutdown

Truecharge 40+ offers over-temperature shutdown, overload protection and short circuit protection. The battery charger has an ignition protection rating, allowing installation in gasoline engine compartments. The charger's input and output are galvanically isolated to protect against corrosion.

Constant Output Voltage

Truecharge 40+ can be set for a fixed voltage power supply mode to keep output voltage at a constant 13.5 V (not recommended for use with batteries). This is great for some applications like using halogen lights.
