The inverter takes 12 volts from a battery and converts it to 115-volt AC household power. With output power at 2500-watts continuous with a 5000-watt surge, Portawattz 3000 is ideal for running standard household and electrical appliances including washers or dryers.

2500-watt Continuous Output with 3000-watt Surge
Connect Portawattz 3000 directly to a battery to run circular saws, washers, dryers, electric lawn mowers, large microwave ovens, and virtually any other home or office appliance. With a 2500-watt continuous output and a 3000-watt surge, Portawattz 3000 is ideal for simultaneous applications. Operating time using Portawattz 3000 will depend on the size of battery used and the amount of power being drawn from the battery by the appliance. For example, Portawattz 3000 will power a hair dryer and washing machine for approximately one hour using two 8D series batteries. The inverter shuts off automatically if an appliance is rated higher than 2500 watts continuous or if the battery is too low.
Automatic shutdown and protection features
Portawattz 3000 automatically shuts down at low voltage to prevent complete discharge of a battery. Portawattz 3000's LED fault light confirms automatic shut down due to low battery voltage, excessive input voltage, and an over temperature or overload condition. Portawattz 3000 also features reverse polarity, short circuit output and AC backfeed protection. If utility voltage is applied to the output of the inverter, the inverter will safely shut down with no damage to the load or the inverter.
Regulated Output
Portawattz 3000's regulated output protects electrical equipment from voltage spikes and fluctuations. Regulated output assists in prolonging the life of appliances that are powered by Portawattz 3000.
